Mental health first aid (MHFA) is a 2-day course that is the equivalent of a physical first aid course. It provides the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, and effectively guide a person towards the right support.
Included in the MHFA course:
- Identifying the early signs of a mental health issue
- How to help on a first aid basis
- Assisting someone onto the road to recovery
- Guidance towards the right support
- Helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues
